Hard to believe it's been so long since last post! So many changes since then I don't even feel like the same person that started this blog. There have been good changes and some bad changes, but life goes on.
The last few months I've gotten hooked on watching some web cams of animals. It started with Winter the Dolphin. Once we watched the movie Dolphin Tales the grand kids and I would check her out online. Then I found the Bird web cams at Cornell! Wow do they know how to have a web cam. I felt a connection with the red-tailed hawks. Big Red, the female, and Ezra, the male, hatched 3 eggs and I watched it all. From laying the eggs to all 3 hawklets fledgling. Even got to see some of their adventures after fledgling thanks to the amazing cams Cornell set up on the nest. Will definitely be watching again next spring.
Cornell also has web cams on Bluebirds, Osprey and Pacific Loons. I was lucky enough to see the first chick go swimming less than 24 hours after it hatched, The second egg I saw hatch and kept checking on and was rewarded when the family went for a swim. They are just adorable!
I've also watched several Peregrine falcon nests, A cheetah in Africa give birth to three cubs and Siku the polar bear, Google any of these and see what you can learn from them.
